USA, 1969) Raised in Los Angeles, Jack Slomovits began his artistic endeavors at the age of six with a box of lego and a Kodak Brownie camera.” Throughout high school and college, he won fine art & photography awards including a scholarship to study at Otis Parsons. By 1991 he was developing his unique photographic eye and moved to New York City to study studio arts and photography at Fordham University in an independent study program. He learned the “trade” while working at a New York film lab where he was exposed to the work of other artists in the medium.Jack Slomovits is a Commercial Lifestyles Photographer and Graphic Artist. His work is exhibited in art galleries and published internationally. Since 1997, Slomovits has also been documenting weddings in his candid and raw signature style. Simultaneously, works as an art director creating memorable campaigns for print and the internet. Jack Slomovits' captures the elements of spontaneity and intimacy in his photographs and translates this energy through color, composition and space in his advertising endeavors.In 1999, Jack Slomovits and Sean Meriwether launched a design and internet company called: BLOWSQUISH. By combining their unique visions, technical savy and opposing personalities, they created hundreds of successful advertised campaigns and over 60 websites with awards from the industry.In 2000, Jack Slomovits photographed the first Gay & Lesbian Lifestyles stock image collection represented by Getty Images International. “Gay Lifestyles,” the collection title, is comprised of 106 images which have appeared in countless ads, book covers and magazine editorials.By 2006, Jack Slomovits is documenting weddings and creating ad campaigns on a national scale with an international clientelle and opened a second studio in Los Angeles.
